I Completely missed out on Microdisney at the time and it was only a fluke that i discovered The Fatima Mansions who just appeared out of what seemed like nowhere on the seminal Snub TV in the winter of 1989 with their wonderful debut single 'Only Losers Take the Bus'. Fatima Mansions named after a drug riddled housing estate in Dublin went on to release at least two albums (Against Nature & Viva Dead Ponies) before the release of Valhalla Avenue in 1992, which is by far their finest moment. The Fatima Mansions at their mightiest were an incredible tour de force that simply refused to be pigeonholed and very few bands at the time were in quite the same league.

you have just reminded me of microdisney, who I used to play a lot of in my bedsit in Aberystwyth. I hate you white south african bastards, was a particular favourite. I had completely forgotten about them untill you triggered a memory flash just a moment ago..... nice one... laters.xx
oh and as for snub TV, used to have some on video, until it snapped ... that was such a lovely programme, it introduced me to many seminal bands, shit I am know haing thoughts of the Wolfgang Press, now what happened to them.xx
I still have a copy of the snub tv video TD,it was a great show!! Queer by the Wolfgang Press still gets a spin around here // glad my post brought back good memories for you!!! laters. xx
