Zuvuya have their roots in Webcore, who released three cassettes, two LP's and 12's on Jungle in the late 80s, and Tribal Drift, who also put out a 12" on Nation. Shamania's diverse material dates from 1991 when Zuvuya got together with Psychedelic guru Terence McKenna on his first visit to the Uk.Following the "Shaman I Am" 12", Zuvuya's second album launches into tribal trance that skims on the edge of McKenna's far out universe. Their brand of minimal beats/electronica taps on the thin walls of the psychedelic experience with pounding rhythms and ambient landscapes of sound vibrating with ancient images and echoes from the primal swamps, forests and depths of the unknown.
