Jeff Tarlton - Dragon Spring

In the late 80s, Jeff Tarlton fronted a fantastic psych/punk band called Viv Akauldren & on this second solo album, released on Delerium records in 2000, he sounds even more like a cosmic Gram Parsons. With a host of friends he's created a beautifully haunting stripped down acid folk album, mapping the borderland between gritty urban sprawl and dank mysterious wilderness. Anyone who loved the intensity of Nick Drake, Kevin Coyne or Robyn Hitchcock will find plenty to enjoy. ''In twenty years this album will be worshipped !''
