AOS3 formed in Sunderland in 1990, taking their name from the initials of Augustus Owsley Stanley III (logo comprises interlinked anarchy, peace, Om, and Yin Yang symbols) LSD chemist and sound engineer. 'Apparently... ' was the bands second cassette album which features studio recordings of songs that would later be reworked for their ''Gods Secret Agent'' lp on one side & a live set on the other side that includes two excellent cover versions of RDFs 'unknown soldier' / AK47s 'Tottenham 3'. AOS3 released two albums on 'words of warning/inna state' and several 7''s ( including a split w/ Citizen fish, Zion Train / Knights Of The Occasional Table remix 12''), they recently reformed to play at the last few 'hawkfest' gigs and are busy recording a new album.1.
